The Design Process
Discovery + Consultation
Every project begins with a discovery call, followed by a site visit. This is a working meeting where we walk the property together, discuss your goals, design priorities, and budget, and evaluate the site’s layout, grading, sun exposure, and existing features. We’ll ask targeted questions to get clarity on how you want to live in the space, and offer early feedback on what’s possible.
Concept Development
Using the site meeting and your goals as a starting point, we begin developing your concept. This includes layout options, material inspiration, preliminary planting ideas, and simple plan overlays or mood boards. We review these concepts together—either in person or via Zoom—and use your feedback to refine the direction.
Final Design Package
Once the concept is approved, we move into detailed design. Depending on your needs, this may include scaled 2D CAD plans, planting layouts, lighting diagrams, material schedules, technical elevations, and custom feature drawings. For high-visual projects, we build a 3D model to help you understand the space with accuracy and confidence.
The final design package includes everything needed for pricing, permitting, and construction handoff. We’ll present the finished package in a Zoom meeting, walk you through each element, and make any final refinements as needed.
